Payroll

Pay staff by the day, week, fortnight or month

Decima works out PAYE, the AIDS levy, NSSA and ZIMDEF on each person's pay, using ZIMRA's table for the way they are paid, and posts it all as amounts owed until the money leaves the bank.

Four ways to pay

Daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly staff, each on ZIMRA's table for that frequency.

Benefits taxed right

Benefits given rather than paid are taxed at their value without being paid out twice.

Payslips

A payslip for every person on a posted run, ready to print or send.

Rates you have checked

Decima ships with figures to start from and keeps reminding you until someone has confirmed them against the latest tables.

Past runs

Every run kept, with the rates it used

A posted run keeps a copy of the rates it was calculated with, so it can be reproduced later against the figures it actually used.

After the run

What is owed, and to whom

Running a payroll pays nobody. Net pay and every deduction sit as amounts owed until the money actually leaves the bank, and the PAYE and NSSA dates show on Glance.

Returns

PAYE, NSSA and QPD returns, ready to review

You may know your way around TaRMS. Decima shows where every figure came from: each return is built from the payroll you posted and the books, and checked against them before you file.

  • TaRMS's employee upload, filled in from Payroll
  • TaRMS's PAYE earnings template, as an FDS and a Non-FDS file
  • TaRMS's PAYE figure compared with what was deducted
  • NSSA's P4A remittance advice: pension and WCIF
  • The QPD return, ITF 12B, line by line as TaRMS shows it

Averaging or forecasting

Set the PAYE method you chose in TaRMS, and payslips deduct what TaRMS will ask for. Pay from an old payroll earlier in the year counts too.

Tied to the books

A return must equal what payroll posted. Paying it posts and links the payment; a penalty goes to an account never deducted for tax.

You stay in charge

Decima never logs in to TaRMS or NSSA, never files and never pays. It prepares, checks and records; you upload, submit and pay.

For TaRMS and NSSA

Their templates, filled in

The PAYE earnings go out in TaRMS's own template, column for column, and NSSA's P4A comes filled in with the pension and the WCIF premium at your industry's rate.
